When it comes to running, stress fracture is the number one cause of lost training in the otherwise healthy athlete. Stress fractures are created by many factors, not the least of which is the biomechanics of the activity. Other factors in the creation of stress fractures include calorie balance, training load, underlying bone health, and many more. There are many things that an athlete can work on to try to avoid developing stress fractures and Dr. Dunne is here to help identify those things.

He will talk about the benefits of keeping balance in your training, in your racing, and most importantly in your LIFE and the consequences that can happen when proper balance is not kept through out. We will also go over some strategies to keeping that balance and what to look out for to keep yourself in check.

What should you eat before you compete? How should you fuel on course during your event? Those are really important and very common questions asked by most athletes. But we need to take a step back from those questions and take a look at the bigger picture and ask, How can I eat to support my training and recovery? Getting to race day is a long road that needs to be supported with proper nutrition throughout your training cycle. If you want to toe the line healthy, strong, and ready we need to train smart and eat to build health everyday. In this presentation Erin will share with you the nutrition strategies she uses personally and with her clients to support health, training, and recovery while building to an endurance event.
