LECTURES AND PRESENTATIONS
I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to race triathlon at a high level and have had many experiences throughout my life through various sports, my training, my racing, my coaching and traveling the globe all while being in a sport that I truly love. This is a way to share my experiences and all that I have learned - the good, the bad and the ugly. I have had quite a journey through this sport and want to motivate and inspire others to be the best person/athlete they can possibly be in all aspects of their life by providing them with insights from my personal journey and challenging each person that listens to my lectures. We are capable of so much more than we know, I want to help show them the way. My featured Presentations are:
"Goal Setting and Their Importance" - I break down the process of setting goals and then achieving them through a goal setting setting outline and presenting it in way that is very easy to understand. In order to attain our goals we need to have a solid plan in place to use as our foundation as we take the steps to Capture them. We cover topics on Motivation, Perseverance, Support System, Confidence and Belief in on one-self. This presentation has been introduced in different formats but with the same message to adults, kids, college sports teams, and coaching groups. Duration - 1hr
"Mental Toughness" - This presentation goes in to the mental aspects of being in athletics and how we need to strive and focus even more when we want nothing more than to give up. Shows the importance of practice and training to create a mentally strong athlete. We all can put the time in physically but usually the last piece of the puzzle is unlocking the mental side through being mentally strong. I will bring this topic to the forefront and make athletes and individual that this is present in our performances and is also something that needs to be worked on just as much if not more than the physical. I challenge coaches and athletes in this presentation to become more mentally strong and help each other unlock potential through tips and advice. This presentation is geared for college athletes, adults, teams and coaches. Duration 45min - 1hr
"The Tipping Point of Balance" - I will show the importance of keeping life balanced in all aspects of life and what can happen when we get to one sided. I will reinforce the topic of creating balance throughout all aspects of life and to stay focus on everything important in ones life. The worst thing that can happen in ones life is that you miss it because you where so absorbed into one aspect of your life. We are so much more than one specific thing, it is better to be well rounded and multi-faceted. I will give tips on how to keep yourself balanced and on the right path. This presentation is for a more mature audience - College Students and Adults. Duration - 1hr
"The Science of Triathlon" - This is a closer look at the sport of triathlon through the topic of Science. I break the sport into its three disciplines - Swim, Bike and Run and show all the science behind this sport. There is so much cool science that can be explored in this sport from the mechanics of all the equipment to how are body operates in extreme conditions through extreme efforts. It is an interactive, funny, and very informative presentation. This program can be tailored for all ages - from 7years old to Adults. Duration 45min - 1hr
