Pinnacle Youth Clinic
This program is designed for all ability levels and will dig deep into running form and open up your athlete’s eyes into the sport of running. This program will be led by Coach Kenrick Smith – Owner of K17SPORT Fitness and Head Coach Pinnacle Racing Team. With his expert leadership and coaching ability he will share his passion with your young athletes to guide them into becoming more efficient runners. This camp will allow your runners to experience the sprint events, mid-distance, and long distance events. We will go over stretching drills, running drills, sprinting drills, relays, explain how the track is laid out, and put them through different workouts for them to experience the different distances.
Age Group: 2nd grade to 6th grade
Cost: $150 per athlete
Location: Muhlenberg College Outdoor Track
Host: Pinnacle Racing Team – K17SPORT Fitness
Topics: Sprints, Mid Distance, Long Distance, Running Form, Relays, Mechanics, Proper dynamic stretching and static stretching
Dates: 6/23 Monday - 6/27 Friday
Times: 3-4:30pm
Mock Workout:
Warm up -> Jog for 10min followed by dynamic stretch
Main Set -> This will encompass whatever the topic is for that day
Core Workout – some light strength work for core, legs and upper body
Cool Down – Jog 5-10min finish static stretching
Goals of this Clinic: – It is the goal of Coach Kenrick for each our runners to come out of this clinic with a better understanding up running, become a more efficient runner, and to find the enjoyment of running. Coach Smith wants this clinic to be a learning experience for the athletes that will challenge them athletically and mentally all while still having fun.
